A 'Thank You' + An Update

We’d like to take a moment to thank Pen & Brush for hosting our dual book launch this past Friday for You’re the Most Beautiful Thing That Happened by Arisa White, and Say Something Nice About Me by Sara Schaff. Arisa’s book is now available online through Small Press Distribution. Say Something Nice About Me will be available to the public through SPD come November 1st.

 

Many thanks, as well, to our wonderful designers, Mike Miller and Isabella Giancarlo, whose time and effort ensured these books printed just as beautifully as they read.

An Update on Our New Titles for 2016

Despite a long radio silence, we here at Augury Books have been hard at work preparing two new books for a late 2016 release. While covers have previously been posted by authors via social media, we would like to formally introduce cover art (by the wonderful Mike Miller) for both You’re the Most Beautiful Thing That Happened, by Arisa White, and Say Something Nice About Me, by Sara Schaff.

October 25: Augury Books Speaks at Poets & Writers LIVE: Independent Publishing Panel at LoC

This coming Saturday, October 25th, Augury editor Kimberly Steele will be featured on the next P&W LIVE panel, held at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C.

Poets & Writers LIVE, developed by Poets & Writers magazine, aims to connect the independent literary community through a series of group panels featuring upcoming and established editors, publishers, and authors.

Other publishing companies represented will include Graywolf Press, Algonquin Books, New Directions, Black Balloon Publishing, Rose Metal Press, and Gival Press, as well as a featured reading by Charles D’Ambrosio.

Steele will be sharing her experiences as an editor of Augury Books at the Indie Editor Roundtable at 1:30. For more information about the day’s events, as well as P&W LIVE and how to register, head over to their site.
